DOSAKAYA DRUMSTICK RASAM

Ingredients used in DOSAKAYA DRUMSTICK RASAM
• Yellow cucumber - 1 number.
• Drumstick - 2 numbers.
• Onion - 1 number.
• Oil - 3 tablespoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Garlic (crushed) - 6 cloves.
• Green chilies - 3 numbers.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Tomatoes (chopped) - 2-3 numbers.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1/4 bunch.
• Salt - to taste.
• Pepper (crushed) - 10 numbers.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves (chopped) - 2 springs.
Method:
  • Cut the yellow cucumber, drumstick, onion into lengths.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, garlic, onions, green chillies, turmeric powder and saute it
  • Add salt, drumsticks and cook it with closed lid for 3 minutes on slow flame.
  • Add yellow cucumber, red chili powder, curry leaves and mix it. Pour little water and cook it for another 3 minutes.
  • Then add tomatoes to the same pan and cook it with closed lid for 1 minute on high flame.
  • Then add salt and crushed pepper and boil it for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Atlast, add chopped coriander leaves and mix thoroughly.

Now the dosakaya drumstick rasam is ready to serve hot with rice.
