Ingredients used in DOODHI ANNANA AMTI
• Bottle gourd(pieces) - 1 cup.
• Pineapple(pieces) - 1/2 cup.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Black cardamom - 2 numbers.
• Cinnamon - 1 number.
• Cloves - 4 numbers.
• Bay leaf - 2 numbers.
• Curry leaves - 1 spring.
• Onions(chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Garlic(chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger(chopped) - 1 tea spoon.
• Green chillies(chopped) - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Asafoetida - pinch.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Red chilly powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Garam masala - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Goda masala - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Ground nut - 1/4 cup.
• Tomato - 1 number.
• Jaggery - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Tamarind juice - 2 tea spoon.
• Sesame seeds powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Peanut powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Dry coconut(grated) - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves(chopped) - 1 bunch.
• Salt - to taste.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, black cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, bay leaf, curry leaves and saute it.
  • Add onions, garlic, ginger, green chillies, asafoetida, turmeric powder, red chilly powder, garam masala, coriander powder, goda masala and saute it on slow flame.
  • To it add bottle gourd pieces, groundnut and saute it and place the lid and cook it.
  • Then add pineapple pieces, water and mix thoroughly and place the lid and cook it.
  • Add tomato, jaggery, tamarind juice and saute it.
  • Now add sesame seeds powder, peanut powder, grated coconut and cook it for 2 -3 minutes on slow flame.
  • Atlast add coriander leaves and mix thoroughly.

Now the doodhi annana amti is ready to serve with roti or rice.
