Ingredients used in DAHI BHENDI
• Salt - to taste.
• Garlic - 3 cloves.
• Oil - as required.
• Turmeric powder - half tea spoon.
• Green chilli - 4-5 numbers.
• Plain yogurt - 2 cups.
• Okra - 1 lbs.
• Cumin and mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Besan - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Cut the okra in small pieces. Deep fry the cut okra till brown and crisp. Keep aside.
  • Add 1teaspoon besan to the yogurt and whisk it to get a paste like consistency and keep this aside.
  • Now heat 2 tablespoon of oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and mustard seeds.
  • Add green chillies and garlic and saute it. Add turmeric powder, hing powder, salt.
  • Turn the gas off and after 1-2 minutes add whisked yogurt in it.
  • Add okra to the spiced yogurt at the time of serving and garnish with coriander leaves.
