Ingredients used in Corn Rava Dosa
• Corn - 1 cup.
• Oil - as required.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Chana dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Urad dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Onions ( chopped ) - 1 number.
• Green chilies ( chopped ) - 2 number.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger ( chopped ) - 1 tea spoon.
• Green peas - 1/4 cup.
• Carrot ( grated ) - 1/2 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Potato ( boiled & mashed ) - 1 number.
• Coriander leaves ( chopped ) - 1 bunch.
• Hing - pinch.
• Rice flour - 2 tablespoons.
• Pestle pepper - 1 tea spoon.
• Gun powder - 1 tea spoon.
• All-purpose flour ( maida ) - 1 cup.
• Semolina - 1/2 cup.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves, chopped onion, green chilies, turmeric powder, chopped ginger and saute it till onions turn slightly transparent.
  • Then add green peas, grated carrot, salt (to taste) along with water and saute it for about 5 minutes.
  • Add boiled and mashed potatoes and cook it by stirring occasionally.
  • Later garnish with chopped coriander leaves and keep aside.
  • In a bowl, add corn, semolina, all-purpose flour, salt, rice flour, hing, cumin seeds, crushed pepper and mix to dosa batter consistency by adding water in small quantities.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add one ladleful of batter and spread it evenly.
  • Then on one side roast it by sprinkling gun powder, oil and prepared potato mixture.
  • Nowfold the dosa to half and serve it hot.
