The basic idea of the chicken lollipop is to cut the meat around the base of the chicken wing drumette and pull it towards the top so it's shaped like a lollipop. I don't actually know any countries where it's banned, because it isn't. Any evidence that MSG causes cancer or other illness is purely anecdotal, although if you experience ill effects after consumption you should avoid it.
