Ingredients used in Carrot Vada
• Urad dal (soaked) - 1 cup.
• Chana dal (soaked) - 1 cup.
• Fennel seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Garlic cloves - 5 number.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Green chilies (chopped) - 3 number.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1/2 bunch.
• Onion (finely chopped) - 1 number.
• Carrot (grated) - 1 cup.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  • Take a blender, add soaked urad dal, chana dal, grind to a coarse paste and keep aside.
  • Slightly crush fennel seeds, cumin seeds, garlic cloves, curry leaves and transfer to a bowl.
  • Now to the same bowl add chopped green chilies, coriander leaves, finely chopped onions, grated carrot, prepared urad dal & chana dal paste, mix well, take small portions of the prepared mixture, shape them into vadas, deep fry in hot oil and transfer to a plate.

Hot, crispy and delicious Carrot Vadas are now ready to serve.
