Ingredients used in Lapsi
• Broken wheat (dalia) - 1 cup.
• Sugar - 1 cup.
• Almonds - 30 grams.
• Cardamom powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Ghee - 1/4 cup.
• Hot water - 2-1/2 cups.
• Cashew nuts - 30 grams.
• Pistachio - 10 grams.
• Khoya(optional) - 1/2 cup.
Method:
  • Heat ghee in a heavy bottomed pan, add the broken wheat.sauteon a high flame till it turns pinkish brown.
  • Add hot water, partly cover and cook on a medium flame till most of the water has evaporated. Add more water if the wheat is not tender enough.
  • Once all the water has evaporated, add the sugar, Stir it.
  • Now add nuts, khoya(optional) and cardamom powder switch off the flame.

Now lapsi is ready to serve.
