Ingredients used in Cream Cake
• All-purpose flour (maida) - 250 grams.
• Vanilla essence - half tea spoon.
• Egg - 8 numbers.
• Butter - 125 grams.
• Fresh cream - 125 grams.
• Powdered sugar - 250 grams.
• Sugar - 1 tea spoon.
• Baking powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Orange juice - half cup.
• Lemon skin - half tea spoon.
• Cardamom powder - 1 pinch.
Method:
  • Sift the flour and baking powder together. Soften the butter with the fresh cream and beat it with the powdered sugar. Add the egg yolk one by one to it while beating. Also add the orange juice, grated lemon skin, cardamom powder andhalf ofvanilla essence.
  • Beat the egg whites and add the other half of vanilla essence. Beat again by adding sugar intermittently. Mix it with the prepared cake mixture.
  • Pour the batter to a greased and floured vessel or pan.
  • Bake in a preheated oven, set at 400deg F for 20 minutes or until done.
