Ingredients used in American Chopsuey
• Noodles - 1 cup.
• Oil - as required.
• Ginger (julians) - 1/2 tea spoon.
• French beans (long pieces) - 1/4 cup.
• Baby corn - 1/4 cup.
• Carrots (long pieces) - 1/4 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Msg - 1 tea spoon.
• Vinegar - 1 tea spoon.
• Sugar - 1 tea spoon.
• Soy sauce - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chili sauce - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chili paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Tomato ketchup - 1-2 tablespoons.
• Water (as required to mix) - 1 cup.
• Cabbage (chopped) - 1/4 cup.
• Bell pepper (chopped) - 1/4 cup.
• Onions (slices) - 1/4 cup.
• Spring onions (chopped) - 1 number.
• Corn flour - 1/2 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Boil noodles and strain water. Then apply oil and sprinkle corn flour on boiled noodles and mix nicely, later deep fry it in hot oil and transfer into serving bowl.
  • In a bowl, add vinegar, sugar, soy sauce, red chili sauce, red chili paste, tomato ketchup, little water and mix nicely.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add ginger, Julians and saute it.
  • Then add french beans, baby corn, carrots, salt, MSG and saute it, later cook it.
  • To above vegetable pan, add cabbage, bell pepper, onions and saute it. Cook it well.
  • Add mixed sauce slurry and mix it, check for seasoning and add spring onions and mix it.
  • In a small bowl, mix corn flour with little water to make a slurry add to above pan and mix nicely.
  • Once the mixture becomes slightly thick pour it on top of fried noodles.

Now American chop suey is ready to serve.
