ULLIGARELLU ONION VADA

Ingredients used in ULLIGARELLU ONION VADA
• Green chillies - 4 numbers.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Onion (pieces) - 1 number.
• Garlic - 4 numbers.
• Ginger - 1 piece.
• Salt - to taste.
• Coconut (grated) - 1/2 cup.
• Spring onions - 1 bunch.
• Rice flour - 1 cup.
• Wheat flour - 1 cup.
• Oil - to fry.
Method:
  • Take a mixie jar, add green chilies, cumin seeds, onion, garlic, ginger, salt, grated coconut and blend into a paste. Transfer to a bowl.
  • To it add spring onions, rice flour, wheat flour and mix nicely to make a soft dough.
  • Apply oil to hand or to polythene sheet and take small dumpling spread it like vada and deep fry in hot oil until it is crispy on medium flame.

Now crispy ulligarellu (or) onion Vada is ready to serve.
