Tomato Kurma with Green Peas

Ingredients used in Tomato Kurma with Green Peas
• Green peas - ½ cup.
• Tomatoes(sliced) - 4 numbers.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Onions(chopped) - 1 cup.
• Salt - 1 to taste.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Turmeric powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - ½ tea spoon.
• Coriander powder - ½ tea spoon.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Sugar - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Garam masala powder - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Spring onions(finely chopped) - ½ cup.
• Yogurt(beaten) - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Heat some oil in a pan and when it becomes hot, add onions, salt and saute it until slightly colored.
  • Add curry leaves, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, and cook till the raw flavors are gone.
  • Then add coriander powder, chili powder and thin slices of tomatoes, salt, green peas. Cover the pan with a lid and allow cooking for 2 minutes.
  • When the tomatoes are nicely mashed, add sugar and very little garam masala powder and mix well.
  • Add finely chopped spring onions (the greens), salt and switch off the flame.
  • At last, add yogurt to this mixture and mix well.
