Ingredients used in THREE MIX DAL
• Oil - as required.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Red chilies - (3-4) numbers.
• Onions - 1 number.
• Salt - to taste.
• Green chilies (chopped) - (2-3) numbers.
• Turmeric - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Moong dal(soaked) - 1 cup.
• Lobia(soaked) - 1 cup.
• Chana dal(soaked) - 1 cup.
• Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup.
Method:
  • Take oil in a hot pressure cooker.
  • Add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chilies, onions, salt, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder and saute it.
  • Now add soaked moong dal, lobia, chana dal, water and mix it.
  • Let it cook for 5-6 whistles on slow flame.
  • After 5-6 whistles check the salt and mash it with a masher.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with rice or pulka.

I just made this. It's incredible. Easy to make, widely available ingredients. I wasn't sure about the time vs. the number of whistles, but it worked out perfectly cooking it for about a half an hour. Thanks?
