Ingredients used in Sorrel Leaves Dal
• Red gram - 1 cup.
• Peanuts - 1/2 cup.
• Oil - 2 teaspoons.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Dry red chili - 3 number.
• Garlic (chopped) - 3 clove.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 1 springs.
• Sorrel leaves - 2 bunch.
Method:
  • In a pressure cooker add soaked red gram, peanuts and along with the water cook until is dal is soft.
  • Then heat a oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, dry red chilies, garlic, turmeric powder and cook till the raw flavor is gone.
  • Now add curry leaves, sorrel leaves fry for few minutes.
  • Finally add boiled red gram, salt and mix well.
  • Now let it cook for another 3-4 mins and serve hot with rice or roti.
