Ingredients used in SINDHI SEYAL CHICKEN
• Whole chicken cut into 16 - 1 number.
• Green chilli,fresh finely sliced - 1 piece.
• Yellow powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Bay leaf - 2 leaf.
• Cinnamon stick - 1 piece.
• Whole cardamom - 2 piece.
• Cloves - 2 piece.
• Finely minced garlic - 1 tea spoon.
• Finely minced ginger - 3 teaspoons.
• Medium tomato,peeled and diced - 2 numbers.
• Medium onion finely diced - 2 numbers.
• Coriander powder - 2 tablespoons.
• Cardamom powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Yogurt - half cup.
• Coriander leaves finely chopped - half cup.
• Garam masala powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Oil - as required.
Method:
  • Heat the oil in a bottomed pan, add the whole spices, cloves, cardamom, bay leaf, cinnamon. once aroma starts add the onion put flame to low/medium and cook until transparent, make sure brown the onions.
  • Add the ginger and garlic and stir and cook for another couple of minutes,add green chilies and then follow with tomato. add yellow powder and cook for 2 more minutes.add chicken pieces and coat well.
  • Add coriander powder, cardamom powder and salt to taste.add 2 cups of water. cook for 30 minutes.
  • Add yougurt and garam masala powder. cook for 10 minutes on low flame.
  • Add chopped coriander and stir. let sit for 10 minutes and serve with white basmati rice.
