Ingredients used in Sabudanyachi Khichadi
• Sabudana - 2 cups.
• Grated coconut - 1/4 cup.
• Peanut powder - half cup.
• Green chili (chopped) - 2 numbers.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Ghee - 1 tea spoon.
• Potato - 1 number.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - as required.
Method:
  • Wash sabudana in water. Drain, then sprinkle a little water on it, and set aside for an hour.
  • Heat ghee in a thick bottom pan, sauteegreen chilies and cumin seeds for a minute.
  • Add the potato and fry for anotherminutes.
  • Then sabudana, peanut powder and salt. Let the mixture cook for about 10 min. Stir occasionally and sprinkle a little water if it is dry.
  • Garnish with grated coconut.

Serve hot.

sabudana should be soaked in water for atleast 4 hours . fried green chillies with little salt sprinkled ,can be eaten along with the khichdi

To the recipe you can add the power of peanuts [ phalli ] it will give more taste to the recipe
