Ingredients used in Potato Masala
• Urad dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Channa dal - 1 tea spoon.
• Turmeric - 1 pinch.
• Lime juice - 1 tablespoon.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Coriander leaves - 1 bunch.
• Salt - 1 to taste.
• Curry leaves - 1 springs.
• Chopped green chillies - 2 numbers.
• Chopped ginger - 1 slice.
• Cashewnuts - 2 tablespoons.
• Red chilli whole - 2 numbers.
• Mustard seeds - pinch.
• Cumin seeds - pinch.
• Onion - 3 small.
• Potato - 4 numbers.
Method:
  • Boil diced potatoes, till they are cooked soft.
  • Heat oil, add red chili add mustard when it splutters, add channa dal, urad dal, cashew, chopped ginger and fry till reddish in color.
  • Add the onions and green chilies, curry leaves and fry till onions are cooked. Add turmeric, and fry for 1/2 a min.
  • Pour over the potatoes, add the salt, and lemon juice, and coriander leaves.
  • if needed add some water.
