Ingredients used in NALLA DRAKSHA AVAKAYA - BLACK GRAPE PICKLE
• Black grapes - nalla draksha - 1 cup.
• Red chilli powder - 2 tablespoons.
• Turmeric powder - 1 pinch.
• Mustard powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon.
• Black gram - half tea spoon.
• Mustard - half tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - half tea spoon.
• Red chillis - 2 numbers.
• Asafoetida - 1 pinch.
• Oil - 4 tablespoons.
Method:
  • Clean black grapes with water and dry them.
  • Take a bowl, add black grapes then all the ingredients-Red Chilli powder, Turmeric powder , Mustard powder, Salt, Lemon juice one by one and mix it.
  • For tempering heat oil in a pan and add black gram, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, then saute them for some time.
  • When they change color add red chillies, asafoetida, and grapes mixture.
  • Mix it thoroughly and enjoy this pickle for a week.
