MANGO PACHADI TAMIL NEW YEAR

Ingredients used in MANGO PACHADI TAMIL NEW YEAR
• Neem flower - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Oil - as required.
• Red chili - 1 tea spoon.
• Tamarind juice - 1 cup.
• Jaggery - 3 tablespoons.
• Hing - pinch.
• Turmeric powder - half tea spoon.
• Sambhar powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Ripe mango - 1 number.
• Chilli powder - half tea spoon.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Urad dal - 1 tea spoon.
Method:
  • Cut the mangoes and keep aside. In a big vessel first pour the tamarind juice and then add turmeric, sambhar powder, chilli powder,hing , salt and add the mangoes.
  • Cook well and add the jaggery. let it boil for 10 minutes.
  • In a kadai take 1 teaspoon of oil and musturd, urad dal, red chilli, and at last add neem flower little.
  • Add these tampering to the pachadi. You can add curry leaves too.
  • This spicy and sweet pachadi goes well with spinach rice.
