Ingredients used in eriserry
• Dry red chillies - 3 numbers.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Jeera - few pinch.
• Coconut - 1 big.
• Black eyed peas or raw banana - 1/2 cup.
• Pumpkin (small slices) - 1 cup.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tablespoons.
• Curry leaves - 1 springs.
• Chhili powder - 1 to taste.
Method:
Split the banana lengthwise into 3 pieces. Do not peel the skin. Cut it into small pieces. Boil yam and banana with turmeric powder ,chilli powder and salt in 1 cup of water. Grind one fourth quantity of grated coconut and cumin seeds together and add to it. Grate remaining coconut and saute in a low flame till brown in colour. Keep it aside. Season mustard seeds in oil coconut oil, seasoned mustard seeds and the sauted coconut to the vegetable mixture. Mix well.garnish with curry leaves Note:-Instead of red chilly powder you can again use pepper powder and thatrsquo;ll give a diiferent flavour.
