Honestly, I never knew a recipe such as 'Gotsu' exists! I literally LOVE eggplant as a vegetable and want to incorporate it somehow in all my dishes. So I 'came up' with a similar recipe to gotsu, execpt I make a nice tomato souplike

Chef, I liked your videos. Here's my observation: Hings and onion may kind of null their flavors. for gotshu - no need for dhal/ masala - just add some fenugreek in tadka and it will smell good. int he end rice flour / besan should make it thick.
