DRUMSTICK CORN AND DAL PORIYAL

Ingredients used in DRUMSTICK CORN AND DAL PORIYAL
• Oil - 4 tablespoons.
• Toor dal - 1/4 cup.
• Sweet corn - 1 cup.
• Drumstick leaves - 1-1/2 cup.
• Dry red chillies - 2 numbers.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Chana dal - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Urad dal - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 springs.
• Asafoetida - 1 pinch.
• Fresh coconut(grated) - 2 tablespoons.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan and add toor dal and saute it for 1 minute, later add water cook until it is 75% done with lid on it.
  • Add sweet corn, drumstick leaves and mix and cook it for 2 minutes with lid on it.
  • Heat oil in another pan and add dry red chillies, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves, asafoetida and saute it.
  • To it add drumstick leaves dal mixture, fresh grated coconut, salt and mix nicely.

Now drumstick corn dal poriyal is ready to serve.
