Ingredients used in Coconut Milk Rasam(Kobbari Charu)
• Tamarind sauce - 1/4 cup.
• Salt - 1-2 teaspoons.
• Chillie powder - 1/2-1 teaspoons.
• Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Tomatoes(big) - 2 numbers.
• Onion (big) - 1 numbers.
• Green chillies - 4-5 numbers.
• Fenugreek seeds(methi seeds) - 1/4 teaspoons.
• Oil - 2 teaspoons.
• Coconut milk - 460 ml.
• Cilantro - 1/4 cup.
• Water - 1/2 cup.
Method:
1)Heat 2 spoons of oil and add fenugreek seeds 2)Add cumin seeds 3)Add green chillies(very finely chopped) 4)Add onions( very finely chopped) wait till onions fry until light brown then 5)Add tomatoes(very finely chopped) wait until tomatoes gets fully mashed and then 6)Add tamarind sauce let it cook for few min 7)Add chillie powder and salt according to your taste 8)Add cocunut milk and water(add more cocunut milk and less water it you want the charu to be more tasty) 9)then lastly add the cilantro cook it for few min and turn off the heat
