Ingredients used in Lady's finger Mutton
• Mutton - 2 lbs.
• Bendi - 1 lbs.
• Oil - as required.
• Mustard seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Green chillies - 3 numbers.
• Cumin seeds - 1 tea spoon.
• Curry leaves - 2 spring.
• Onion (chopped) - 1 number.
• Turmeric powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Salt - to taste.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Tamarind juice - 1 cup.
• Cumin powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Methi powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Coriander leaves (chopped) - 1/2 bunch.
Method:
  • Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds,once the mustard crackles add green chilli, cumin seeds, curry leaves and little bit off hing.
  • Then add finely chopped onion, turmeric powder. Once the onion gets fried add little bit of ginger garlic paste and let it heat for a minute.
  • Add finely cut mutton and cook the mutton for 5 minutes.
  • Then add red chilli powder and salt to the mutton. Once the mutton cooks 50% , add tamarind juice to the mutton .
  • Also add cumin powder, methi powder and cook the mutton for 25% more.
  • After the mutton is cooked for 75 to 80% add bendi and cook the mutton in sim. Remember not to stir the mutton after adding bendi to avoid stickyness .
  • Once the bendi is cooked add finely chopped coriander leaves.
