Ingredients used in UNNIYAPPAM
• Rice - 1 cup.
• Jaggery - 1 cup.
• Pepper - 10 numbers.
• Ghee - 3 teaspoons.
• Banana - 2 numbers.
• Dry coconut(chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Cardamon powder - ½ tea spoon.
• Wheat flour - 1 tablespoon.
• Milk - ½ cup.
Method:
Soak the rice for 2 hours and strain the water completely and put in the blender and blend into a fine powder and transfer it into the siever. Now separate the fine powder and coarse powder. Take the blender and add jaggery and pepper and make the smooth paste and add banana and blend again to a smooth paste. Heat ghee in a pan and add dry coconut and saute it. Take the bowl and add fine powder, cardamom powder, coconut with ghee, wheat flour, jaggery mixture paste and add milk sufficient to make the unniyappam. Heat ghee in the unniyappam pan and pour the batter using a spoon and place the lid on it and cook it on both sides on slow flame.
