Ingredients used in simple pappu chaaru
• Toor dal - 1 cup.
• Mirchi (slit long) - 5 or 4 big.
• Onion(cut into medium cubes) - 1 small.
• Tamarind juice - 1/2 cup.
• Dania powder and coriander pdr - 1 tablespoons.
• Optional(deep fried munagakaya,tomoto,carrott...etc. if u dont have no need alla these) - .
• Salt - .
• Coriander leaves - 1 bunch.
• Curry leaves - 6 leaf.
Method:
1.cook the toor dal(1 cup)+turmeric(pinch)+oil(3-4 drops) +water(2 cups) in cooker on flame for 3-4 vessel sound. 2.after step 1 smash the dal and add tamarind juice(here add correct amount of sourness i.e.,tak one small lemon sized tamarind and sqeeze total juice by adding water). 3.add good amount of water and raw onion cubes,mirchi,1/2 bunch coriander leaves,10-15 curry leaves,optional(fried or raw munaga kaya,tomoto,lady fingers.sorakaya pieces) give them to a boil for atleast 15-20 min. 4.add salt , coriander pdr ,cumin pdr. 5.add tadka on it lastly.(tadka:oil,cumin seeds ,zeera, 3-4 garlic flakes(do boom boom and dinchak dinchak),red chilli 2-4,inguva,coriander leaves little,curry leaves).
