Crispy Fried Shrimp - Prawns with Shell on

Ingredients used in Crispy Fried Shrimp - Prawns with Shell on
• Prawn - 500 grams.
• Turmeric powder - 1 pinch.
• Red chili powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Ginger garlic paste - 1 tea spoon.
• Pepper powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Corn flour - 1 tablespoon.
• Coconut powder - 1 tablespoon.
• Oil - to fry.
• Water - as required.
• Salt - to taste.
Method:
  • Take prawns with shell and slit at the back and cut the sharp edges and wash it.
  • In a bowl, add coconut powder, corn flour, red chili powder, pepper powder, salt, turmuric powder, ginger-garlic paste, little bit water and mix well in a nice paste.
  • Now add prawns. mix properly Keep in fridge for 15-20 minutes
  • Heat oil in a deep pan. One oil get hot deep fry the coated praws till light golden in colour. Keep aside for 3-5 minutes.
  • Double fry the prawns for making it crunchy.
  • Once it turns in nice golden color, takeout on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.

Serve hot.

okay, now i did this with shell off; but i didn't put the seasons you put; mine were just simply fried shrimp, meant to be like popcorn shrimp

you could always make a sweet and sour sauce; ketchup, worchestshire sauce, a lil sugar and maybe some cayenne pepper. that's what my father made. good for dipping shrimp.
