Ingredients used in pongal
• Ghee - to fry .
• Cashew(broken) - some .
• Peppercorns - 2 tablespoons.
• Jeera - 2 tablespoons.
• Moong dal - 1/4 cup.
• Rice - 1 cup.
• Hing - .
• Curry leaves - .
Method:
1. fry moongdal and rice in ghee till you get a light flavour. 2. In a pressure cooker add fried rice,dal, jeera ,salt and water (4 times the rice amp; dal)5 cups 3. preesure cook it for 4 vissels 4. In a pan add some ghee then add pepper corn powder hing cashew curry leaves and add it to cooked rice and dal 5. thats it we can serve it with almond chutny or palli chutny
