Ingredients used in Peerthanga Kuttu
• Pasiparruppu - quater of a cup cup.
• Coconut - 2 spoons tablespoons.
• Onion - very little for flavour to fry.
• Things for tampering - little to fry.
• Peerthanga - 1 numbers.
• Green chilli - 1 numbers.
• Ginger - little to taste.
Method:
First soak the passiparrupu for 10 to 15 minutes. Then keep in cooker and steam it to softness. Remove the perthanga skin and dice into small pieces. Keep a flat bottomed vessel and tamper with mustarl, cummin, curry leaves, one red chilli, onion little and put this peerthanga and add the smashed dhal into it. Pour little water and let it be cooking. In the mean while put coconut, cumin, greenchilli and ginger in the blender and grind it to softness . Add this to the cooking vegetable. Then add salt and keep it in sim for 10 min#39;s This dish is ready . This dish goes very well for karakolumbu rice or for chappathi.
