Ingredients used in orotti
• Grated coconuts - 1 cup.
• Coconut pieces - 3 tablespoons.
• Fennel seeds - 1 pinch.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - 1.5 cup.
• Rice powder - 1 cup.
• Shallots sliced - 3 tablespoons.
Method:

rice powder can be prepared by washing, drying, grinding basmati rice. Boil water until it bubbles. add salt to it. Add the rice powder little by little and keep stirring. Switch off the gas stove. Add shallots, coconut pieces, coconut grated and fennel seeds. Once cooled, knead the mixture into a big ball of dough similar to chappati dough if it is not sticking use a bit of oil to get the dough to stick. take a chappati sixed ball and place it between 2 shopping bags. Use a plate and flatten out the ball. To an oiled girdle, place the flattened rice cake and slow cook it until both sides are sort of golden brown like chappati. serve with spicy mutton/chicken curry.
