Ingredients used in Okra palya
• Turmeric /haldi powder - pinch.
• Amchur - 2 teaspoons.
• Jeera/ cumin powder - 1 teaspoons.
• Dhaniya / coriander powder - 1 teaspoons.
• Oil - 2-3 tablespoons.
• Okra - 15 numbers.
• Salt - to taste.
• Ginger grated - 1 teaspoons.
• Garlic grated- optional - 1 teaspoons.
Method:
Clean and dry the okra. Dry the surface of okra using paper towel. Cut okra lengthwise, Saute it with amchur and grated ginger and turmeric powder. Saute it for few mins. Once half cooked, add salt, dhaniya, jeera powder. Cook without water on a low heat until cooked. Adjust the flame so that it doesn#39;t burn . Tempering: heat 1tspn oil ,add red chilli, mustard seeds, slit urad daal. Once mustad stops spluttering pour it over the cooked okra. This can be served with rice or roti.
