Ingredients used in Mustard-Lemon Rice (Rayalaseema style)
• Cashew nuts - 2 teaspoons.
• Curry leaves - 2 teaspoons.
• Peanuts - 2 teaspoons.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Green chillis - 7 numbers.
• Salt - to taste.
• Chana dal - 1 teaspoons.
• Lemon - 1-2 numbers.
• Fried mustard powder - 1 teaspoons.
• Boiled rice - 1 lbs.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Oil - 5 teaspoons.
1. Fried Mustard for 2 mins and make a powder. 2. Take hot Cooked rice and add 2 tsp oil, mustard powder from step 1, salt, turmeric, lemon juice and keep aside for 15 mins. 3. In a pan put 4 tsp oil and fry cumin seeds, mustard seeds, peanuts and cashew nuts and chana dal. 4. After Peanuts and cashew and golden brown add curry leaves and green chillis and fry for another 2 mins. 5. After the green chillis are half cooked add this mixture to rice and mix well.
