Ingredients used in methe avrekai akki roti
• Surti lilva/hyacinth /(avarekai-kannada) - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Green chilles - 6 numbers.
• Coriander leaves - 1/2 cup.
• Fresh/frozen grated coconut - 1/2 cup.
• Rice flour - 3 cup.
• Methi leaves - 1 cup.
• Onions - 1 cup.
Method:
1boil avarekai in salted wated until it is soft(u can use with skin or without skin its ur choice 2.In a bowl mix flour,salt,finely chopped methi leaves,finely chopped coriander leaves,grated coconut , boiledSurti Lilva,finely chopped onions. 3.now add water to make a soft dough(curds also can used instead of water). if u are using curds rest the dough for 30min or u can do it imediately 4.now divide the dough in equal portions.(if the dough stiicks to hand add some oil or wash ur hand) 5.smear oil on tawa ,now patt the dough on tawa to make like roti.close the lid and heat on low flame to get nice clour.add some oil on top. 6.heat the roti other side and serve with onion chutney
