Ingredients used in Makkai Tareko
• Corn, kernels separated - 8 numbers.
• Oil - 2 tablespoons.
• Asafoetida - pinch.
• Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoons.
• Black peppercorns - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoons.
• Green chillies - 2-3 numbers.
• Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Salt - to taste.
• Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Cumin seeds powder - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Lemon cut into wedges - 1 numbers.
• Green coriander - 1 tablespoons.
Method:
1.heat the oil and temper with asafoetida and cumin seeds.add the black peppercorns, ginger-garlic paste and fry a little. 2.add the corn kernels, green chillies, turmeric powder and salt. stir and sprinkle the powdered spices with 1 tbsp of water. cook covered on a very low flame, till the corn becomes dry and cooked . 3.serve garnished with lemon wedges and green coriander.
