Ingredients used in Kheer (Indian Rice Pudding)
• Rice - half cup.
• Milk powder - 4 cup.
• Condensed milk - 1 cup.
• Sugar - 2 cup.
• Cashews - to taste.
• Elachi powder - to.
• Saffron - to.
Method:
  • Fry the milk powder in Ghee (Golden color). Keep it aside.
  • Cook rice with 1 cup water and 1/4 cup milk.
  • Meanwhile, boil milk, in reduced flame, add condensed milk.
  • Soak one spoon of raw-rice and 10-15 cashews in milk for 10 minutes. Grind it to a coarse paste.
  • Add to the boiling milk. Add 2 cups of sugar, stir till it dissolves.

Recipe says milk powder, but he means milk and powder. Pretty simple mistake, but can prove confusing as we see!

How can I read the reviews? Don't see a way to read the discussion. I too am mystified by the mention of milk powder. Thanks VahChef!

In the beginning of the directions, it says "milk powder"but in the recipe, he doesnt call for milk powder, he calls for condensed milk and regular milk. Can someone please clarify. Also, it states "take a spoon of raw rice" but how big is this spo
