Ingredients used in Dahi Chudva
• Flattened rice - 1 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Water - as required.
• Sugar powder - 1 cup.
• Cardamom powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Cinnamon stick powder - 1 tea spoon.
• Cashew nuts (chopped) - as required.
• Almonds (chopped) - as required.
• Raisins - as required.
• Ghee - as required.
• Curd - 1/2 cup.
• Milk - 1/2 cup.
• Pomegranate seeds (optional) - as required.
Method:
  • Take flattened rice in a bowl, season with salt, add water, soak for about 2 minutes, strain the flattened rice, transfer to a bowl, add powdered sugar, cardamom powder, cinnamon stick powder and mix well.
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add chopped cashew nuts, almonds, raisins, fry tilltheir color gets slightly changed, transfer to the bowl with flattened rice, add curd, milk and give it a good mix.
  • Sprinkle pomegranateseeds on top (optionally) and serve it fresh.
