Ingredients used in Cabbage Curry
• Green chillies - 5 numbers.
• Cinnamon - 1 piece.
• Cloves - 5 numbers.
• Channa dal ( boiled and ground to paste ) - 1/2 cup.
• Tomato finely chopped - 1/2 cup.
• Onion finely chopped - 1/2 cup.
• Cabbage chopped and boiled / steamed - 2 cup.
• Salt - 1/2 tsp to taste.
• Turmeric - 1/2 teaspoons.
• Oil - 3-4 tablespoons.
• Shahi jeera - 1 teaspoons.
• Cilantro ( finely chopped ) - 4 - 5 tablespoons.
Method:
In a pan , Heat oil and add Shahi jeera. When it slightly roasts add onions ,turmeric and green chillies and fry till onions are golden brown. Then add Cloves , Cinnamon along with Tomatoes to onions and close the lid for 2-3 mins. Add little water if required . Boil till u get the fragrance of masalas. Then add boiled cabbage and salt. Stir well. Close the lid for 2 mins . After cabbage is well cooked in the gravy add Channa dal paste to the pan and stir well . Close lid again for about 3 -4 mins. Finally add with chopped cilantro. Serve hot with roti / rice
