When we prepare puran poli it may happen that the sweet stuff (that is puran used to stuff in puran poli) gets wasted or left out. This recipe uses the same stuff to prepare a delicious Amti, a maharastrian recipe.
- Take a pressure cooker, add toor dal with some salt and water. And pressure cook it and keep aside.
- In a pan, add the ghee, after it gets heat up, add the cumin seed, mustard seeds, and when it crackles, add the red chilies, curry leaves, hing .
- In a bowl take the puran, add water about a halfcup and mix well in such a way that all the puran should get diluted in it.
- Add the tamarind extract. Add the goda masala, red chilipowder, turmeric powder and mix well.
- Pour this mixture to the pan and mix well. Add the required amount of salt. Cook it for 10 minutes.
- To it add the dal which we have already cooked. and mix well. Garinsh it with coriander leaves.
