Ingredients used in Paruppu kulambu
• Tamaind paste - 1/4 tablespoons.
• Drumstick, brinjal,tomato,1/4 mango - 1 numbers.
• Urid dhal - 1/4 tablespoons.
• Mustard seeds - 1/2 tablespoons.
• Curry leaves - 1 springs.
• Garlic pearls - 3 numbers.
• Shallot onion - 3 numbers.
• Green chilli - 5 numbers.
• Asafoetida/ hinge - 1 pinch.
• Turmeric powder - 1 pinch.
• Thoor dhal - 100 grams.
• Coconut oil - 1 to fry.
• Salt - 1 tablespoons.
• Cumin seeds - 1/2 tablespoons.
Method:
Pressure Cook Thoor dhal with Turmeric, asafoetida, green chilli,shallot, garlic and 200 ml water . Mean time cook all the vegetables with tamarind and salt. Mash the cooked dhal with cumin seeds and add it to boiled vegetables. Heat coconut oil in a kadai and crackle mustard seeds, urid dhal and add curry leaves. Garnish the Parupu kulambu .Dont boil the curry a lot , just heat it . serve hot with rice.
