Ingredients used in Mandeli Zanzanit
• Haldi powder - 1/4 tablespoons.
• Red chillie powder - 1 tablespoons.
• Spicy small green chillies - 5 piece.
• Oil - 1 1/2 tablespoons.
• Mandeli fish or small fillets of tilapia cut in length of fingers. - 7-8 piece.
• Dried kokam - 4-5 piece.
• Salt - 1/2 tablespoons.
• Water - 1/2 cup.
Method:
Take the pan (do not put on the gas yet) Add the fish or filltets. You can also use the small cut pieces of Pomphret. Add the 1 and 1/2 tblespoon of oil. Add one table spoon of red chilli powder Add 1/4 tblspooon of Haldi Powder Cut the chilles in a length of 1 inch and give a cut in the middle (do not cut in 2 pieces). You can add the chillies based on your taste as well. more than 3 chillies will make it really spicy. Add Dried Kokam pieces 5 in quantities Add salt to taste Add Water about 1/2 cup. Please make sure that add water in little quantity. Mix this mixture and keep it for 15 minutes. Turn on the Gas and just put the pan as is on the medium flame. Keep the lid on. Cook it for 10 minutes until oil comes up. It should be dried but not completly.
