The dish is made of rice stir fried with plantain. Rice is a versatile ingredient that is easy to cook, can be made as a main dish. Plantain 65 is an easy to make deep fried snack/ starter and tastes just awesome .It also can be served as side for rice dishes too.
- Peel and cut the plantain into round slices.
- Take a bowl and add rice flour, all purpose flour, green chili paste, ginger paste, curry leaves, ½ teaspoon pepper crush, salt, ¼ tsp tasting salt,1 tablespoon red chili powder, little water and make thick batter.
- Coat raw plantain slice in above mixture and deep fry in hot oil.
- Heat 2 tablespoon oil in a pan and add ginger, garlic, curry leaves, onion and saute it. Add 1tablespoon red chili powder, garam masala and saute it, later add curd, ¼ teaspoon tasting salt, ½ teaspoon pepper crush, lime juice and cook it.
- Add basmati rice and saute it later sprinkle little water, coriander leaves and mix nicely.
- Transfer into serving plate and garnish with fried plantain.
