CHEESE STUFFED ONION PAKODA WITH PHILIPS AIRFRYER

Ingredients used in CHEESE STUFFED ONION PAKODA WITH PHILIPS AIRFRYER
• Chickpea flour - 1 cup.
• Rice flour - 1/4 cup.
• Salt - to taste.
• Carom seeds - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Coriander seeds(crushed) - 1/4 tea spoon.
• Red chili powder - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Turmeric powder - 1 pinch.
• Oil - 1 tablespoon.
• Onion(sliced) - 1 cup.
• Green chillies(chopped) - 2-3 numbers.
• Coriander leaves(finely chopped) - 1 tablespoon.
• Curry leaves(chopped) - 1 spring.
• Ginger(chopped) - 1/2 tea spoon.
• Yogurt - 1 cup.
• Coriander leaves - 1/4 bunch.
• Cheese(cubes) - 1 cup.
Method:
  • Take a bowl and add chickpea flour, rice flour, salt, carom seeds, coriander seeds, red chili powder, turmeric powder, oil and crumble it.
  • To it add onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, curry leaves and mix it.
  • Take some onion mixture and spread it flat in your hand and put a piece of cheese and seal it well from all sides. Complete and stuff of the cheese pieces with the onion mixture and keep aside.
  • Preheat the air fryer at 200 degree C for 7 minutes.
  • Pull out the basket and drop in the dumplings into the basket and allow cooking at 200 degree C for 7 minutes.
  • After 6 minutes, pull out the basket and toss them and cook for 1 minute until done.
  • To make buttermilk: Take a food processor and add yogurt, chopped green chillies, few Coriander leaves, ginger, salt, little water and blend it, later transfer into a glass.

Now Cheese stuffed onion pakoda with air fryer is ready to serve.

Cheese stuffed onion pakoda are healthy and nutritious to eat as they are air fried, made without oil yet taste absolutely yum and delicious. Keep trying various dishes that are healthy to eat and nutritious to the body.Pakoda or Pakora is one popular snack that is liked by almost everybody especially during rainy season. It is also one of the most simple, easy to prepare and delicious snack that can be made in a jiffy and satisfy your palate. Indian pakoras/ pakodas or fritters can be eaten on its own or served with a variety of spicy, sweet and tangy chutneys like mint chutney, chaat green chutney, Chaat sweet tamarind chutney, sauce etc.

 

Pakodas are crispy crust encased with one veggie or a variety of vegetables or chunks of chicken or mushroom. Pakodas are often sold at every street corner food stall. These are amazing and exceptional snacks that is popularly eaten during monsoon with a hot cup of tea. Pakodas or bhajjis are made with besan or Gram flour, a very popular ingredient used in making of various dishes in Indian cooking. Gram flour is a powder made by grinding Bengal gram or Chana dal and it has a nice nutty flavour. The besan is a chief condiment in Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi cuisines. Gram flour is yellow in colour, powdery and has an earthy flavour. It is used in making a variety of savoury and sweet dishes.

 

This flour makes a tasty and crispy coating for make various deep fried vegetable pakoras. The variety of chickpea flour depends on the kind of chickpea used to ground. One can use either raw or roasted chickpeas.

 

How to prepare Cheese Stuffed Onion Pakoda:

  Ingredients:

Chickpea flour – 1 cup

Rice flour – ¼ cup

Salt - to taste

Ajwain – ¼ tsp

Crushed coriander seeds – ¼ tsp

Chilli pd – ½ tsp

Turmeric pd - pinch

Oil – 1 tsp

Onion, sliced – ½ cup

Green chillies, chopped – 3-4 nos

Coriander leaves, finely chopped – ½ bunch

Curry leaves – 2 sprigs

Directions:

Crumble the ingredients well. Rest for a while, Just sprinkle very little water and mix well. Take some onion mixture and spread it flat in your hand and put a piece of cheese and seal it well from all sides. Complete and stuff of the cheese pieces with the onion mixture and keep aside. Preheat the Phillip Air fryer at 200 degree C for 5 minutes. Pull out the basket and drop in the dumplings into the basket and allow cooking at 200 degree C for 7 mins. After 6 minutes, pull out the basket and toss them and cook for 1 minute until done. Serve hot with mint chutney and a glass of buttermilk.
