Kachche kele ki chutney (raw plantain chutney) is very typical and rare chutney but tastes extremely delicious made with raw banana (boiled) and flavored with mustard, red chillies and sessame seeds powder with nice tempering.
- Take a raw banana peel it off and cut into small pieces, boil it in water by adding salt, turmeric powder, tamarind juice.
- In mixing bowl add boiled raw banana pieces, squeeze lemon juice mix it and keep it aside.
- In a hot pan add mustard seeds, dry red chillies, when mustard seeds splutter add sesame seeds and dry roast it and let it cook down make it into a powder by adding salt.
- Add this powder to plantain pieces mix it well.
- For tempering : Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, red chillies, cumin seeds, urad dal, chana dal, turmeric powder, hing, curry leaves, coriander leaves saute it and pour this tempering on the top of the chutney.
Serve this with curd rice or sambar rice.
