Malabar or vaali as known in mangalore is a yummy curry.
- Chop Malabar spinach leaves and wash them with toordal do not wash before chopping they tend to become soggy.
- Boil malabar spinach and toordal together on medium flame.
- Now make a paste of grated coconut, tamarind,turmeric powder and whole redchillies.Add this paste to the toordal and malabar spinach when the dal is almost cooked.
- Add salt.Bring it to boil. Now in another pan take oil for tadka , add whole garlic with skin in hot oil and let it turn slightly brown.Add this tadka to cooked dal.Bring it to boil.
