It can be served with rice and chapathi.
- Remove the peel of long squash and cut into small pieces.
- Finely chop onions and tomatoes and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard and cumin till they crack out, then add channa dal, when it gets light brown add curry leaves.
- Add chopped onions when they are light brown add long squash and let it cook for 15 minutes.
- Mean while roast peanuts and grind (peanuts,coconut,garlic and coriander powder) and keep it aside.
- After 15 minutes(long squash is cooked) add chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, turmeric and salt . when they are cooked add water(as you like, if you want too much gravy add more water) and add the grinded powder into it.
- Let it cook, till the oil starts oozing out.
Switch off the flame and add chopped coriander.
