Green moong and bottle gourd muttiyas is a veg bottle gourd cutlet recipe . It can be enjoyed with green chutney or even without it.
- Soak the moong dal for 2 hours and strain the water. Transfer it into a blender.
- To it, add chopped ginger, coriander leaves, green chilies, salt and blend into a coarse paste then transfer to a bowl.
- To this mixture, even add turmeric powder, grated bottle gourd (squeeze out the water), pinch of cooking soda, crushed coriander seeds, crushed fennel seeds, chickpea flour, red chilies flakes and mix thoroughly.
- Take small dumpling, give the shape of small cylinder shape and steam cook it with closed lid for about 10 minutes.
- Remove the muthias and keep aside for 10 minutes, thencut them into small pieces.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, curry leaves, asafoetida, muthia pieces and toss it.
- Now add grated carrot, lime juice and mix thoroughly.
Serve it with mint chutney or tomato sauce.
