It is a sweet pudding made with roasted chana dal cooked in coconut milk and sweetened with jaggery. This creamy and delicious sweet.
- Take a pan and add water, milk, pinch of salt and boil it.
- Add black sesame seeds, rice flour and mix the dough, later place the lid and keep aside.
- Heat coconut oil in pan and add raisins, chana dal, cardamom powder, nutmeg, mace, jaggery, desiccated coconut and saute it.
- Divide dough into two half and place dough in between two polythene sheet.
- Roll it like a sheet and place it in the pie mould lined long with holed steam tray lined it with plastic wrap.
- Place rolled sheet in the mould and press the edges.
- Stuff the prepared coconut filling mixture and pour some coconut milk.
- On top of it place another rolled sheet and close and cut the edges.
- In the centre put a small hole in the centre with knife.
- Place it in the steamer and steam it for 20- 25 minutes.
- Demould and cut the pie.
Garnish with honey and serve it.
