Egg tart is one of the delicacies that can be found in most Asian countries, especially in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia. This easy to grab meal is the best accompaniment for all busy workers to fill the short time hunger.
- Take a glass jar of milk, add egg yolk, caster sugar and mix it.
- Add corn flour and mix, so that no lumps are formed.
- Add fresh cream and mix nicely, pour it into a saucepan and switch on the flame.
- Cook until it comes to thick consistency for 5 minutes.
- Once the mixture is thick add vanilla essence and switch off the flame.
- Take a bowl, add all purpose flour, salt, butter and mix nicely, later add water and mix to make a medium stiff dough, allow it rest for 10 minutes.
- Dust some flour and roll dough into thin sheet and apply butter, sprinkle cinnamon powder and caster sugar.
- Roll it and cut like as shown in the video. Dust some flour roll into small round sheet and place it on a greased tray.
- Slightly give docking, pour the egg mixture until it is ¾ filled and sprinkle some more cinnamon powder.
- Place in oven and bake it for 180ºC for 15 to 20 minutes until nice golden color is formed.Demould it and serve it.
