Chat?mari is a kind of rice crepe. It is a traditional specialty of the Newars of the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal and is eaten during festivals and other special occasions.
- Take a blender and add 2-3 hr soaked urad dal, rice and blend into smooth batter.
- Take a bowl and add yogurt, batter, baking soda, baking powder, salt, 1 tablespoon oil and mix nicely.
- Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a pan and add ginger, onion and saute it.
- To it add tomatoes, coriander leaves, black pepper, red chili powder, garam masala, green peas, American corn and saute it and check for seasoning, later keep aside.
- Heat oil in another pan and pour one ladleful batter and spread batter like thin pancake.
- On it spread above corn mixture and on top of it pour one whole egg and cook it on slow flame for 3 minutes with lid on it.
- Atlast sprinkle coriander leaves, salt and cook it, later transfer into serving plate.
Now chatamari is ready to serve.
