This is Andhra style raw plantain fry coated with spicy homemade sesame powder served as a side dish for rice.
- Remove peel of plantain and cut into 1 ½ inch length pieces.
- Soak the sesame seeds in water for 10-15 minutes and strain the water.
- Take a pan and add water, turmeric powder, little salt, tamarind juice, raw plantain and boil with lid on it until plantain are soft.
- Heat the pan and add sesame seeds and roast it, transfer into a plate.
- In the same pan add coriander seeds, chana dal and dry roast it and transfer into same plate.
- Take the mixie jar and add dry roasted ingredients, blend it to coarse powder.
- Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves, red chillies, boiled plantain, red chili powder, coarse powder and saute it until plantain is coated with mixture nicely.
