Ulli vada (vada made with onions in Kerala) are a popular tea time snack sold in small tea shops dotted along the typical Kerala roads.
- Take a mixie jar, add green chilies, cumin seeds, onion, garlic, ginger, salt, grated coconut and blend into a paste. Transfer to a bowl.
- To it add spring onions, rice flour, wheat flour and mix nicely to make a soft dough.
- Apply oil to hand or to polythene sheet and take small dumpling spread it like vada and deep fry in hot oil until it is crispy on medium flame.
